The cheese makers continuously undertake to create a new variety and in the visitors “show dairy” one can look over the shoulders of the women as they work.

As one enters the village there is a stone pile burial mound that is many thousands of years old and dates back to the early Stone Age.t.

The village church is from the late Renaissance and built from glacial boulders with a timber framed belfry and a complex formed spire. The building was restored in 1911/12 and inside there is a decoratively painted ceiling and a splendid altar.

Pasewalk is one of the oldest towns in Vorpommern. Worth seeing are the remaining ruins of the town wall with the Powder Tower and the “Kiek in de Mark” Tower, the Prenzlauer Gate, the Church of St.-Nikolai and Church of St.-Marien as well as the Pasewalker Cuirassier Officers residence and it’s surrounding park.
