Prenzlau, first documented in 1234, is located on the northern bank of the Unteruckersee Lake. Visitors can make a tour of the town wall and visit historical sights such as the defensive houses and towers, town gates and also the St. Marien Church, the Dominican Monastery and the Central Gate Tower. For water sport enthusiasts there are many things to do along the banks of the Unteruckersees Lake; there is a diving school, a boat hire, a bathing area, passenger boats and an authentic working replica of a Slavic boat. For those who like to be on high, the airfield at Dedelow offers flying trips to take advantage of seeing the region from above.
